Before you begin your application…

Pray. Seek God’s guidance in your decision to apply. Then, read ALL of the following.


You must agree to all of the following before applying to be a translator with Carolina Cross Connection:

Code of Conduct

  • No possession of alcohol or drugs
  • No possession of tobacco products by participants under the age of 18. Possession of tobacco products by participants 18 or older is limited to designated smoking areas. Absolutely NO TOBACCO USE is allowed on, or en route to and from, service areas.
  • No possession of weapons, pocket knives, fireworks, or explosives.
  • No threatening, fighting with, or otherwise intentionally harming others – physically, emotionally, or mentally.
  • No use of personal electronics (including game devices and phones) during in-camp activities or on the worksite.
  • Compliance with dress code in camp and on worksite.
  • No mixed genders in sleeping quarters at any time.
  • No staying up after Lights Out. No going beyond camp boundaries at any time.
  • Respect camp rules and schedules. Respect the property of others and the camps. (You are financially responsible for damage due to your actions.)
  • No romantic/flirting relationships with other translators/staff/ or campers during the summer months.


  • You must be a Honduran citizen
  • You must be between the ages of 15-24 years old
  • You must be willing to be involved in the entire week (Monday-Monday)
  • This is a volunteer position that reports to the Jr. Staff members. Your role is to be involved in camp for the entire week, and help the people from the States communicate with the people in the orphanages. All scheduling conflicts will go through the Jr. Staff member.
  • We will only be taking 6 translators per week. Once your form has been accepted, you will receive more information about camp logistics (ie. What to bring).
