Grace H

Home Repair Camp Coordinator

Hey everyone, I’m Grace! I’m from Denver, NC and my home church is Macedonia Baptist Church, but am a part of the Youth Program at Denver United Methodist Church. My family is incredibly important to me and includes my parents, Chris and Chandra, and my younger brother Caden. I am currently a senior at North Lincoln High School and will be graduating this coming June! This fall I will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and majoring in Psychology or Human Development and Family Studies in hopes of later getting my Masters in Occupational Therapy. I was able to experience CCC for the first time this past summer on the Overseas trip to Honduras. The space that the staff created while I was there was so welcoming and allowed me to experience the presence of God in a way that I never had before. I hope that I will be able to create the same space for campers at Home Repair as a Camp Coordinator the same way the staff in Honduras did for me. I value the community that CCC has created and the emphasis that they put on how much relationships with each other through community can represent the love of Jesus. I am ecstatic for a summer where I can lead campers and be a part of a community that will help me grow in my relationship with God and the people around me. I value and thank each of you that will help me in this next part of my journey, whether that be monetarily or through the power of prayer.
