Hi, my name is Blake Smith and I am a 2018 Carolina Cross Connection Camp Coordinator. I am 17 years old, turning 18 on March 31st. I live in Oxford, N.C. and attend Oxford United Methodist Church, where I have been a member since 2006. I have been a member of the youth group since I was 12 years old. I currently serve as the President of the youth group and have previously served as Parliamentarian for two years and as Treasurer for one year. I will graduate in May from Kerr Vance Academy and will be attending ECU in the fall of this year. My ambition is become a Pharmacist or Physical Therapist. My parents are Lowell and Grace (Missy) Smith. My mother is a Planning Supervisor with the Durham City-County Planning Department and my father is a Battalion Chief with the City of Raleigh Fire Department. This year will be my first year working on CCC staff and I couldn’t be more excited! I have attended CCC as a camper five times and being a staff member has been a dream of mine since my third year as a camper. Being a camper was a spiritual experience for me. The thought of having that same connection with God for a whole summer as a staff member that I have had in just one week of being a camper is amazing. I look forward to serving on the CCC staff and I am so thankful for the tremendous opportunity to serve others!
