Hello friends!  I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this wonderful Christmas season.  I try to avoid personal posts on this blog which are not directly related to Carolina Cross Connection, but I hope you will humor me this time around and join in my family’s excitement…

As you may or may not know, my wife Traci and I are adopting two beautiful children from Taiwan in the near future!  They are biological siblings, “Pierson Yong-Sheng” and “Maylin Yu-Feng,” and we hope to bring them home sometime next year.  We don’t have a concrete date yet, but we expect to travel in Feb/March.  We’re so excited about bringing them into our family, as well as the larger Carolina Cross Connection family.  Woohoo!

As you can imagine, international adoption can be expensive, from orphanage fees, to travel expenses, plane tickets, etc.  But ever since we began this process, we have been trusting that the Lord provides and that all things are possible with Him.  Through the support of family friends, yard sales, and other fundraisers, we are now on the homestretch toward covering all our adoption expenses.  Praise God!

We hope you will pray for us and consider how you might support and help us to bring these children home.  We have a few more fundraising ideas in the works, but for now, here are a couple ways that we’ve been putting our talents to work, and ways that you can help support us — plus get some great Christmas gift ideas!

…to buy handmade journals, jade jewelry, photo albums, artwork, and more!  Everything on this site is handmade by Traci, and (though I’m a little biased) these items are absolutely beautiful, artistic, and lovingly made.  All the proceeds go toward not only our own adoption costs, but will eventually go toward costs for other families’ adoptions as well.  Great place to get some Christmas shopping done, and to give gifts that help support a great cause.

Also, I have just arranged, performed, recorded, and produced a CD of Christmas songs, entitled “Westward Leading.”

Twelve laidback tracks of hymns and sacred music performed by yours truly, guaranteed to help get you into the christmas spirit.  They are $10 apiece (plus a little for shipping).  You can also purchase “Westward Leading” from the Loved By Choice Designs website.  Great stocking stuffers!

If you would like to order any of these items to have in time for Christmas, please complete your order no later than noon on Monday, Dec. 21.  (It’s possible that orders placed after Dec. 21 may still arrive in by Christmas Eve, but it’s better to order as early as possible just to be sure.)
